-โThe Damโ on Maple Street held a capacity of 75,000 gallons of water for a convenient source of water for extinguishing fires by horse drawn scoops until the borough added a water system and fire hydrants
-September 2nd: First time Bonneauville held the Adams County Firemanโs Association convention and parade
-Total of 96 members was recorded
-Total of 72 members was recorded due to the Great Depression that a had a great impact on poor families
-Started to regain members after World War II
-Purchased a second firetruck which was a Chevrolet
-Carried 2 tanks, 750 gallons of water, hose was three times the length of the old truck, & carried the most modern firefighting equipment available at the time
-At the end of World War II, purchased an Army surplus 6-wheel drive truck which low-cost military surplus equipment was made available to nonprofit organizations
-Documents of various dates for purchased are 1945, 1948, & 1950
-Changes were made to the truck. The color was olive which was changed to red. Tanks, hoses, and other equipment were added
-Originally was used for to fight field and wood lot fires
-A power cable winch was mounted on the front bumper to pull disabled equipment away from fires and pull wrecked vehicles away from victims
Every firefighter in the company was insured against accident & causality
-Limit of 75 members was lifted and a total 120 members was recorded at the time
-The Ladies Auxiliary was formed with 60 members
-10 acres of land was purchased to use as a carnival ground
-Adams County Fire Police Association was formed
-First treasurer of the new organization was Roy Shanebrook
-May 7th: Adamโs County Firemanโs Association Convention was held
-As technology progressed more specialized equipment was purchased and more training was necessary
-Some were trained to wear two newly smoke masks. Different types of jobs at the time were drivers, hose men, ladder men, nozzle men, & fire police
54 hours of training was required for firefighting, rescue, & pumper operations
-Air Raid Drills were practiced after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Generally, performed after dark. All citizens were required to turn off all lights and stay inside.
-The fire siren blew a long interrupted blast to let people know
Firemen and observers were expected to report immediately to their appointed stations
Improved carnival grounds with poles, lighting, and electric service
Construction of the new firehouse and social would be built on the carnival grounds
-Convention was held again
-The new fire hall was blessed by The Rev. Leo Krichten
-Ambulance corps was formed with 15 members
-First ambulance purchased by the Ladies Auxiliary
-A Ford firetruck was purchased with the latest firefighting tool available such as self-contained breathing apparatus and an exhaust fan
-Tanker 19 was placed in service on January 12
Placed out of service on December 20, 2002. Sold to a company in Kansas
-1977 Dodge D-200 four-wheel drive brush unit was placed into service
-Ground broken for a new social hall at 10 Elm Street
-Old firehouse was leveled, and a second building was being constructed next door to house trucks & equipment
-Purchased a 1994 Chevrolet, four-wheel drive, duel wheel, crew cab truck as Special Unit 19
Sold in June of 1999
-August 6th & 7th: Adams County Firemanโs Association Convention was held
-75th Anniversary of the department and 77th for the association
Purchased a Ford Super-Duty, four-wheel drive truck, high profile as Brush 19
In August a 2003 E-One Typhoon was placed in service as Engine/Tanker 19.
January 1st: Merged with United Hook & Ladder Co. #33 as Station 3.
